Description

Colour is the fastest way to say where you are. Five vector posters, twenty-five by thirty-six inches each, every one a single landmark seen head on and perfectly symmetrical. Big Ben warms to noble browns behind a clock face opened out like a halo. Tiananmen runs powerful and ceremonial in deep reds under a gold hammer and sickle. The Empire State Building rises optimistic against a New York sun. Lăng Chủ tịch Hồ Chí Minh stays reverent, white marble against orange with a gold star above it. Tokyo Tower goes calm and futuristic, pale pink rings spreading out from the antenna. Each poster names its landmark in the language of the country it stands in. Five palettes, five moods, one way of looking. Where you are decides what red means.
