A photograph is only half the job. I was chosen as the photographer for my high school CTE Award Ceremony, which meant setting up the lighting and the greenscreen before anyone arrived, then shooting tethered into Capture One so the frames landed on screen as they happened. Afterwards came the part nobody photographs. Batch retouching, cutting each group out of the greenscreen, dropping them onto a confetti field, setting the category name in the awards display face, then printing the whole set and putting it up on a bulletin board in the school hallway. Every category got its own board, from Culinary to Welding and Machining to AP Computer Science. The Inspire Week shirt comes from the same year, a Prairie falcon standing over a stack of words the students chose themselves. Faces are blurred here because of confidential issues. The board in the hallway is what they actually saw.
